Being able to mix and mash-up different songs is something that's incredibly popular in today's digital world, and there isn't an easier tool on the market to help you do that than the DJ Basic - DJ Player app for the Android OS.

A Detailed Review of the DJ Basic - DJ Player Android App

It used to be that being a DJ required one to possess knowledge about turntables and records and to be able to scratch and mix using physical equipment. These days, however, DJs get the clubs rocking by using completely digital software to mash their songs up and to mix them. And if you want to create that sort of music, you can use the DJ Basic - DJ Player app to assist you here. This is a very intuitive app that allows you to do basically anything you want with the songs you have downloaded. You can apply a ton of different filters and effects, and you can easily mix, match and mash practically anything you want with the simple touch of a button. It takes DJ'ing to a whole new level by no longer requiring tons of skill and practice.

This is more of an entry-level DJ program, of course. You're not going to find professional mixing tools with this app. Mainly what you'll find are options to edit and mash your music, and to change the waveforms of your tunes by zooming, choosing different frequencies and tones, etc. You can make your music sound completely different and you can customize it to you exact specifications.

New features

Potentially dangerous permissions

  • PROCESS_OUTGOING_CALLS: Allows an application to see the number being dialed during an outgoing call with the option to redirect the call to a different number or abort the call altogether.
  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows an application to read from external storage.
  • READ_PHONE_STATE: Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows an application to write to external storage.

Other permissions

  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Allows applications to access information about networks.
  • BLUETOOTH: Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
  • INTERNET: Allows applications to open network sockets.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting. If you don't request this permission, you will not receive the broadcast at that time. Though holding this permission does not have any security implications, it can have a negative impact on the user experience by increasing the amount of time it takes the system to start and allowing applications to have themselves running without the user being aware of them. As such, you must explicitly declare your use of this facility to make that visible to the user.
